- Chris Pratt bestows as Peter Quill/Star-Lord: The Guardians of the Galaxy’s half-human, a half-Celestial leader who was kidnapped from Earth as a child and raised by an extraterrestrial gang of smugglers and thieves known as the Ravagers.
- Nebula is bestowed as Karen Gillan: a Guardian and former Avenger who was raised by Thanos to be his personal assassin and is an orphan from an unknown planet. Gillan thought Nebula was changing into a “slightly separate person” with more humor as she begins to recover mentally after the death of Thanos, the cause of her torture and misery. Thanos was the source of Nebula’s abuse and torment.
- Dave Bautista bestows as Drax the Destroyer: Drax the Destroyer is a Guardian and a fierce warrior whose family was murdered by Ronan on Thanos’ orders.
- Bradley Cooper bestows as Rocket: An expert with weaponry and military strategy who is a captain of the Guardians and a past Avenger. Rocket is a genetically altered raccoon bounty hunter.
- Zoe Saldana bestows Gamora: A young orphan who was taught by Thanos to be his assassin and is looking for penance for her previous transgressions. Saldana reprises the role as a younger version of the character who goes to the present.
- Mantis, played by Pom Klementieff, is a Guardian with empathetic abilities.
- Ayesha, played by Elizabeth Debicki, is the High Priestess of gold and the head of the Sovereign people.
- Sean Gunn bestows as Kraglin Obfonteri, the former Ravagers second-in-command under Yondu Udonta.
- Sylvester Stallone bestows as the powerful Ravager Stakar Ogord.
- Will Poulter bestows as Adam Warlock: The Sovereign developed this powerful artificial entity to kill the Guardians.
The plot of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3:
For the time being, the third film’s specific narrative is a secret, but director James Gunn has vowed that it would serve as the “epic climax” to the tale he started with 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy.
With Bautista ruling out a future feature as Drax, the movie is expected to be the end of this particular iteration of the team on screen. He said to Digital Spy, “I mean, as far as my duties go, I’ve got Guardians 3, and that’s probably going to be the last of Drax.”
Thor: Love and Thunder do provide us a brief glimpse into what the Guardians had been up to since Endgame, though.
